CLOTHS
So...you are one step closer in creating your own facial mask.
You might think this is the last step, but no rush! There's still serum to choose after this part!
In this blog, we will be introducing the different varities of cloth material that you can select for your final product!
First off, this is a list of materials you can choose from:
Non-Woven, Wood Pulp, Elastic-Stretchable, Tencel and Biocellulose.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the differences in the selection of cloths, you are at the right place!
Let's begin!
Non-Woven :
Cost per piece : 0.08 USD
This is the one of the BASIC and CHEAPESTt cloth material among all. It is the most commonly chosen fabric and widely used. It's quick for absorption and one size fits all. However, the disadvantage to this is that it doesn't stay perfectly fit when it's almost dry.
[But dont get me wrong, it doesn't mean that you shouldn't choose this, it really depends on the person, everyone has their own preferences]
Wood Pulp ( a.k.a Silk Fiber) :
Cost per piece : 0.10 USD
This thin-like paper material is so soft and fragile that one careless roughness may cause it to rip. But the fit on the face is pretty perfect! Because it's so thin, the serum absorption is even better and faster than the non-woven material. With that said, you now would only need a maximum of 20ml of serum whereas others might take up to 25-30ml of serum.
It comes in 2 layers, layer 1 is the rough plastic film to protect the cloth and the other is the acutal wood pulp material.
[So next time when you get a sample mask in this material, remember to take the first layer of protection film off first!!]
Tencel :
Cost per piece : 0.35 USD
Did you think wood pulp is the thinnest you've encountered? Not even close! Imported and rare cloth from Japan, Tencel cloths are even more fragile than the wood pulp material! This thin like-silk fabric fits perfectly on the face and has similiar properties to wood pulp. It has high absorption rate (50% faster than non-woven) and the serum voulme does not need to exceed 20ml. Although it rips easily, but it does allow your skin to breath freely with a refreshing sensation. So, one reminder to all of you....BE GENTLE!
Elastic-Stretchable :
Cost per piece : 0.15 USD
What's the benefit? It's all said in the name....STRETCHABLE! This type of cloth gives you that tightness feeling on your face, as if your skin is 5-10 years younger with elasticity. In order for the muscle in the cheek and chin to achieve a lifting result, elastic stretchable masks allow you to pull and ear hanged horizontally to stay fit on the face. So even if your face is faced down, you do not need to worry the mask will fall off!
Bio-Cellulose :
Cost per piece : 1.00 USD
OMG! Two thumbs are n ot enough to express how "extraordinary" this material is. This is seriously a PREMIUM quality development in the cosmeceutical skincare! Its perfect fitted feature could not fit more perfectly! No wonder it has a name of a duplicated skin! You can definitely take advantage of this while you're vaccumming or doing other house chores, because there is no need to worry about slipping off!
( I must add, it has a 90% perfect fit and has great permeability and most of all; help with the blood circulation!)
Its specialized nano scale fiber structure is made to retain a volume of essence and outstanding absorbance than other leading mask cloths on the market.
Again, it consists of 3 layers, the outer two plastic films are there to protect the biocellulose mask. Its texture is like jello; clear and smooth. Once the mask is taken off, you'll see the fine lines that were on your face are now trasferred to the mask. (Sounds pretty cool huh?)
Although it doesn't feel as moisturized as other leading cloth materials, but that is because it's already absorbed by the fiber in the cloth to slowly let out serum again once it's on your face
.
Are you still using mud masks? They're so oudated! What are you waiting for? Go try one yourself today and see the differences!
I've summarized the above information in the following chart for those that is reading this blog in a quick glance.
